How long will it take until I can sew my own braces?

Well for Christmas I will be getting my sewing machine parents. I'm very excited. . but I have absolutely no experience in sewing that is (so I have no idea about using a sewing machine, but you can guess i hand sewing, but really does not matter). I know that the decision of corsets (the real deal, with steel boning and lace) is difficult, and wondered how long do you think will be before I can try to make one.

I think corsets will be very difficult to do until there is a lot of experience. I do not know how long it will take, but I say it was the practice the basics first, then work your way up to the summit without first bone until feel ready to try to make a corset completely.
